Petri Laukka is an associate professor of psychology at Stockholm University, Sweden. His main research interests are emotion and music psychology. Current research projects include: (a) cross-cultural communication of affect in speech and music; (b) expression of affect in spontaneous speech; (c) functions of music in everyday listening; (d) individual differences in emotion recognition ability (e.g., due to personality, age, or disorders); and (e) neural correlates of the perception and production of vocal affect expressions. He also teaches courses in social psychology, emotion, music psychology, and research methods.
